We are seeking skilled Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians to provide inpatient coverage. Featuring flexible 12-hour block scheduling, a manageable community hospital census, APP support, and no procedural or code requirements, this assignment offers a streamlined practice setting with fast credentialing. The Opportunity Step into a community hospital environment, providing high-quality inpatient medicine care alongside supportive clinical staff and Advanced Practice Providers. Clinical Scope: Manage general inpatient hospital medicine admissions and floor care, including: Evaluating and managing adult inpatient floor admissions and rounding Managing patients within an open ICU setting Collaborating directly with on-duty APPs and multidisciplinary support teams Procedural & Emergency Expectations Procedures: Zero procedures required. Codes & Rapid Responses: Not required in most cases (handled by designated emergency teams). The Schedule: Flexible block scheduling available for day and/or night coverage. Shift Structure: 12-hour shifts ( 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM ). Assignment Duration: Immediate start available with ongoing coverage needs. Logistics: Full malpractice coverage ($1M/$3M claims-made), travel, and lodging provided. Candidate Requirements Degree & Board Status: MD or DO; Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Licensure: Active, unencumbered Connecticut State Medical License (or IMLC eligibility). Life Support: Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
