I have a locums Hospitalist opening today on the NW Oregon coastline, in a beautiful small town. This facility serves Tillamook , Yamhill, Clatsop, and other surrounding areas. The coastline of Northern Oregon is gorgeous and the people are friendly. This opportunity is currently open November 22-December 6, with the first day being orientation until noon, then shifts begin and end at noon (24 hour). Any provider chosen will be credentialed to cover openings that present in the future. This is a 25 bed critical access hospital with 4 ICU beds. They do require the following procedures: EKG interpretation, nuclear stress tests/Lexiscan and treadmill stress tests (highly automated process), vent management (must have managed at least 10 vented patients in the last two years), and central lines, and must have a clean background/malpractice. The provider must the Board Certified, have an active, unrestricted OR license, 2 years of experience, and must be able to cover at least 4 consecutive days at a time. The candidate will also need to provide case logs for procedures of procedures performed, and provide information about any procedures they cannot perform. It is a level 4 trauma center, and the average daily census is 10 patients per 25 hours. The need is for 24/7 call coverage, with the additional responsibility of a swing bed. The general coverage/schedule is 12+ hours in-house, and call for the remainder of the night. The provider will work solo, and will need to do admits and rounding. EMR is Cerner with Dragon dictation. Travel and lodging are covered. Hotel is covered for the arrival night, and remaining Housing is provided through a hospitalist call room/suite with a small fridge and microwave. Final day of coverage ends at noon, and the provider will travel home on that day, unless otherwise discussed with the client. Air travel would be through the Portland, OR airport, and a rental call would be needed from there for the drive up to the coast. The rate is $2900 per day.
