About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b) while acting within the scope of their employment. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Serve as a recognized authority in Internal Medicine for the residency program, providing expert-level instruction, curriculum development, and high-level clinical oversight for students and residents. Direct and perform diagnostic and therapeutic internal medicine procedures. Attend key medical meetings and conferences and serves as a subject-matter expert on areas of inpatient medicine. Manage high-acuity medical care for hospitalized patients as an Attending Physician on the inpatient internal medicine service. Direct the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of patients.
