Facility and patient volume 300+ bed acute care hospital Daily census: 140-160 patients Admissions: 25-30 per 24 hours Open ICU (physicians may round in ICU as needed) Diverse adult inpatient population Workload and requirements Average daily patient load: 18-22 No procedures required No ventilator management required No call responsibilities Shift options Day Hospitalist: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Swing Shift: 5:00 PM-1:00 AM (may extend to 5:00 AM with volume) Nocturnist: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Weekend coverage may be required per schedule Core responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care: evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized adult patients Perform daily rounds and develop/implement treatment plans Manage admissions and coordinate care throughout hospitalization Round in open ICU when required Collaborate with consulting specialists and multidisciplinary teams Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active New Hampshire medical license DEA registration BLS certification
