Clinical Scope & Responsibilities The Hospitalist will function as a solo provider, managing both Med/Surg and ICU patients within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.
Daily Census: Average of 10 cases per day.
Patient Demographic: Adults (18+). While Pediatricians admit and follow their own patients, the Hospitalist may occasionally be consulted.
ICU Management: Responsible for rounding and admissions in the ICU.
Board Status: Board Certified (BC) in Hospital Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
Licensure: Active Alaska (AK) State License and AK DEA in hand (Required). No "willing to license" candidates.
Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS (Required).
Case Logs: Must provide documentation of IM or FM services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges from the past 24 months (waived for recent graduates).
