Nocturnist Hospitalist Clinical responsibilities include admitting adult patients to the medical and intermediate care units and supervising residents and advanced practice providers in the evaluation and management of hospitalized patients. Additional duties include preoperative evaluations and inpatient medical consultations. The nocturnist works a block schedule of approximately 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM).
