About the Facility Location Southwest Virginia is a region of natural landscapes offering diverse outdoor recreation across 11 state parks, rivers, and mountain terrain. Clinicians on assignment may engage in activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, and ATV trails, with access to notable natural features including the New River, the Mount Rogers Recreation Area, and Natural Tunnel - a 300-yard tunnel running through a ridge in the Appalachian Mountains. The region also provides scenic overlooks, creek exploration, and a range of park-based programs suited to varied interests. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide inpatient hospitalist coverage during day and night shifts on an on-site basis at this acute care hospital in Virginia.
