Position Details Specialty: Hospital Medicine / Hospitalist Location: Derry, NH Position Type: Locum Tenens Need: Open FTEs; facility is building a provider bench Start Date: Flexible / no specific start date Duration: Approximately 3 months EMR: Meditech Patient Population: Underserved Hospital Size: 120 beds Average Census: patients Daily Admissions: Approximately Patient Volume: Approximately patients/day , depending on volume and assigned service Experience: Seasoned providers who are comfortable managing + encounters/day are encouraged to apply Schedule / Coverage Service A: 7 AM 7 PM Service B: 8 AM 4 PM Service C: 7 AM 3 PM Call Coverage: Service C: 7 AM 11 AM Service B: 11 AM 3 PM Service A: 3 PM 7 PM When the hospital is busy, all three services transition to 12-hour shifts Weekends: Two 12-hour services, with an additional surge service when needed No fixed rotation schedule at this time Once the call rotation is completed, physicians are not expected to be called back or return to the hospital after their shift Clinical Details ICU: Open ICU Hospitalists round in the ICU with on-site intensivist support Intensivist manages drips and vents Procedures: No specific procedures required Trauma: Level II trauma center; trauma surgery manages trauma cases, and hospitalists are generally not involved Consults: Approximately 1 2/day, mainly behavioral health or surgical patients Support: PT, OT, SLP, case managers, respiratory therapy, on-site intensivist, and support from ED/surgery/intensivist teams for procedures APPs: Not currently being utilized Grand Rounds: Not required
