These positions are hospital-based OB/GYN roles focused exclusively on inpatient obstetric and emergent gynecologic care. The laborist provides 24-hour in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, supporting unassigned patients, emergency department consults, and inpatient obstetric needs. The model is intentionally structured to improve patient outcomes, support nursing and multidisciplinary teams, and reduce call burden for community-based OB/GYN physicians.
The OB/GYN will join a supportive, collegial team of physicians and advanced practice providers who value collaboration and mutual support. The practice culture emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, with a strong commitment to helping colleagues navigate both professional and personal needs. Additionally, the team includes dedicated nursing staff, medical assistants, front-desk personnel, and clinic administrator, who value collaboration and mutual support and collaboration across our geographies to support a cohesive regional Ob/GYN program.
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Eligible for Virginia medical licensure and DEA certification Comfortable managing high-acuity obstetric care and emergencies Strong communication skills and commitment to team-based care Interest in patient safety, standardized care, and hospital-based practice Open to experienced physicians and recent graduates with strong obstetric training The base compensation range for this role is $328,452 - $389,017 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status. Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
