JOB DUTIES:
1. Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to medically complex hospital inpatients.
2. Order or interpret the results of tests such as laboratory tests and radiographs (x-rays).
3. Admit and discharge patients for hospital stays. Refer patients to medical specialists, social services, or other professionals as appropriate. Participate in continuing education activities to maintain or enhance knowledge and skills.
4. Direct or support quality improvement projects or safety programs.
5. Minimum of 50 hours a year of teaching medical students, interns, and residents.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• MD/DO, foreign equivalent degree is acceptable
• Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine
