- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with day, night, and weekend coverage
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,160 - $7,290
- Patient Volume: Approximately 18-22 patients per shift
- EMR: EPIC
Job Requirements
- Active Alaska medical license required
- Board certified in ABIM or Family Medicine
- At least 1 year of hospital medicine, internal medicine, or inpatient experience preferred
- Willingness to work 7 consecutive shifts, preferably 2 weeks per month
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and rotating call as needed
- Ability to work independently in a closed ICU setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult hospital medicine patients
- Manage an average census of 18-22 patients per shift
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
- Admit, assess, round on, and discharge patients as appropriate
- Document accurately and efficiently within the EPIC EMR system
- Participate in rotating call coverage and maintain flexibility for evolving clinical needs
- Deliver timely, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
