This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving academic medical center with a multidisciplinary cancer institute and robust hematology programs. We are particularly seeking a physician with experience and passion in benign hematologic disorders, including but not limited to thrombosis and hemostasis, sickle cell disease, hemoglobinopathies, cytopenias and platelet disorders. You will play a key role in both outpatient and inpatient benign hematology consultative services, as well as contribute to our growing efforts in clinical research, protocol development and patient-centered innovation in non-malignant blood diseases. Candidates with additional expertise in malignant hematology, bone marrow transplant and cell therapy are encouraged to apply. A leadership opportunity as medical director of adult hematology may be considered for highly qualified applicants. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care in benign hematology, with a strong emphasis on outpatient and inpatient consultation. Participate in and/or lead clinical research initiatives in benign hematology. Teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows as part of our academic commitment to New York Medical College. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes specialized programs in oncology and cellular therapy.
