Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) seeks a medical oncologist/ hematologist to join our O’Fallon, IL-based practice due to planned retirements. Our O’Fallon-based practice includes 6 medical oncologists and 2 radiation oncologists. CCSI provides the only local oncology care for a large portion of central and southern Illinois. CCSI is the largest independent physician owned and governed interdisciplinary oncology group in Illinois with a total of 14 medical oncologists/ hematologists and 8 radiation oncologists. CCSI’s mission is to provide world class care close to home. Clinical research is encouraged and our achievements have been recognized by ASCO and the NCI. Our commitment to quality is exemplified by ASCO QOPI practice certification. We recognize that future success in private practice requires collaboration and ongoing learning, and to achieve those goals we are members of COA, ION Excel, NCCA, Athena and the Oncology Circle. Our facility includes flow cytometry, compounding and dispensing pharmacies, a large treatment infusion area and space for phase 1 trials, CT, CT PET and bone densitometry, and 2 linear accelerators. Cancer Care Decatur is located in a federally designated health manpower shortage area, and CCSI can sponsor physicians for their J-1b visa waiver applications. Physicians joining CCSI are recruited on a partnership track for both equity and governance participation, as our success arises from the collective talents and abilities of all of our physicians.
