REGIONAL PEDIATRIC NEURO-ONCOLOGY PHYSICIAN
Full-Time Opening in Oakland, California
We are seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Neuro-oncologist to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team based in Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center to function as a regional pediatric neuro-oncologist with our partners in Roseville, CA and Santa Clara, CA. The physician will join an established team with supportive staff and pediatric hematology/oncology colleagues. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care, including chemotherapy and targeted therapies for patients with CNS tumors and predisposing conditions such as neurofibromatosis Type 1 and 2, attending pediatric neuro-oncology tumor board, interpreting molecular profiling and genetic mutation data to guide individualized therapy, monitoring the progress and overseeing the care of brain tumor patients regionally, and providing direct care in Oakland and virtual care in the two partnering sites. Interested parties should possess excellent interpersonal communication and teaching skills, be comfortable enrolling patients on clinical trials, and collaborate well with a multi-disciplinary team including pediatric neuro-surgery, pediatric hematology/oncology, pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, and pediatric subspecialty colleagues. We are a fully integrated program and an active COG recruiting site.
