Premier Medical Group is hiring a full-time Gastroenterologist to join the team! The selected physician will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver. This role provides primarily outpatient care, performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disorders Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to: Upper endoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Polypectomy Biopsy and hemostasis procedures Manage chronic GI conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, liver disease, and colorectal cancer screening Interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory results, imaging, and pathology reports Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical meetings, and continuing medical education Collaborate with clinical team to ensure continuity of care. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Travel between Premier Medical Group office locations may be required. Potential supervision for Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) within the Gastroenterology Department. Qualifications: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology Active and unrestricted New York State medical license (or eligibility for licensure). Current DEA registration. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with electronic medical record systems. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities.
