Position HighlightsSpecialty: Gastroenterologist
We welcome both experienced physicians and new graduates who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (Board Eligibility required within 5 years of residency completion)
- Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Interest in building long-term patient relationships within the community
Opportunity Details- Primarily outpatient-focused gastroenterology practice with inpatient consult responsibilities
- Average clinic volume of approximately 18-22 patients per day
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform endoscopic and procedural GI services
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers, surgeons, hospitalists, and specialty teams
- Opportunity to help expand and shape GI services within the region
Procedural & Hospital Responsibilities- Minimum of one dedicated procedural/scoping day per week
- Procedures performed at the Leroy Outpatient Center and Canton-Potsdam Hospital
- Operating room access available for higher-acuity patients and advanced GI procedures
Call Coverage- Shared 1:4 call schedule
- Includes inpatient consultative and procedural call responsibilities
Practice Location- Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Leroy Outpatient Center in Potsdam, New York
