GI Hospitalist Opportunity:
Premier Physician Network (PPN) and Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) are seeking a full-time faculty Gastroenterology Hospitalist (GIH) to expand our program and establish Premier Health as a regional destination for advanced digestive care. This role combines a Wright State faculty appointment with clinical practice at Miami Valley Hospital, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.
Highlights:
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
- Provide care to a diverse patient population across multiple settings
- Collaborate with GI fellows and APPs in a high-volume program (5,000+ annual endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, EUS, ESD)
- Support program growth through fellowship expansion, advanced endoscopy (POEM, manometry, stenting), and a multidisciplinary Digestive Health Center (IBD, GERD, liver disease, GI cancer, etc.)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday

This important leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission for developing and overseeing innovative health care delivery models; sustaining excellence in clinical care; promoting and supporting educational endeavors; and collaborating with the Institute Chair, Division Chiefs, and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) department chair to organize research initiatives and promoting scholarly activity within the institute. Outstanding strategic communication and diplomacy skills are essential, and an ability to function well is vital.
Job Requirements:
- Education: M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in area of specialty.
- Experience: 3-5 years or more of leadership experience
- Licensure: Active medical license.
