About the Position: Serves as a Physician performing duties in support of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. This position is located with the Fox Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF Redstone Arsenal, AL. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Serves as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader providing comprehensive outpatient care to beneficiaries ranging from newborn to geriatric age presenting with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions. Provide pre- and post-deployment health assessments as well as preventive health assessments (PHA). Perform ambulatory surgical procedures including but not limited to casting/splinting, suturing, excisional skin biopsies, and flexible sigmoidoscopies. Guide, counsel, and supervise PCMH team personnel including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical technicians, and administrative personnel. Provide professional guidance concerning military unit/MTF policies and standard operating procedures. Participate in local disaster training exercises to maintain preparedness levels.
