About the Position: Positions are located at Naval Branch Clinic Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary Diagnose illnesses and prescribes and administers healthcare treatment plans for people suffering from injury or disease. Make recommendations on improvement of work methods and organizational features. Complete required records pertaining to all medical services provided in accordance with specified procedures and regulations. Serve as a recognized technical authority in the Urgent Care Clinic, as needed. Independently formulates full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/ or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
