About the Position: This position is located an Tricare Prime Clinic, Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA. Working with patients, family members, and medical staff to provide primary care to patients. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Provide clinical and administrative supervision of assigned medical staff, including workload oversight, performance management, mentoring, competency assessment, and ensuring compliance with applicable clinical standards, policies. Lead clinical operations and practice performance by monitoring access, quality, safety, productivity, readiness, and patient outcomes; identifying performance gaps; and implementing improvements in coordination with clinic leadership. Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, chronic disease management, and coordination of care. Manage complex and acute clinical conditions within the scope of Family Medicine, develop evidence-based treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and perform appropriate office-based procedures. Support clinical readiness, quality, and team-based care by collaborating with nurse and multidisciplinary staff, maintaining appropriate documentation and clinical standards.
