About the Clinician's Workday
The Rural Health Clinic position consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with the day off varying based on weekly coverage needs. Providers see an average of 16 patients per day and care for patients of all ages, with a higher percentage of older patients on the waitlist who have chronic conditions requiring evaluation. The facility averages 30 deliveries per year, and C-sections are preferred. There is no MFM on staff, and high-risk patients are transferred to Bend or Boise. Both board-certified and board-eligible physicians will be considered. COVID and flu vaccinations are not required, but a signed declination form is needed if a provider chooses not to receive them. Call coverage is from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. via beeper and may be included if the physician provides OB care, with the specific call schedule to be discussed. The current need is for a Physician (MD), and experienced FNPs are not being considered at this time. Please send full presentations for review without prior name clearing. The desired start date is as soon as possible, typically within 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension if it is a good fit. Credentialing takes approximately 45 days, and the EMR system is Cerner.
