Our client is one of the largest primary care practices in Southwest Georgia, serving tens of thousands of patients annually across a network of clinics. About the Role
As a Physician with this organization, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population. Core responsibilities include conducting thorough initial evaluations, accurately diagnosing conditions, and developing effective, evidence-based treatment plans for both acute and chronic illness. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary care team — physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, clinical staff, and lab personnel — to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities
-Perform initial patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical exams, and diagnostic testing
-Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs
-Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
-Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other providers to coordinate comprehensive care
-Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
-Educate patients and families on health conditions, preventive care, and treatment options
-Stay current with medical research, technology, and best practices to continually enhance clinical care
Minimum Qualifications
-MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
-Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States
-Completion of an accredited residency program in a relevant specialty
-Strong knowledge of clinical evaluation techniques and patient care protocols
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
-Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
-Experience with EHR systems and clinical documentation
-Advanced training or fellowship in a subspecialty area
-Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education
-Experience in multidisciplinary or community health settings
