This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to the positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a faculty position at Womack Army Medical Center in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic, Fort Bragg, NC. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Provide direct supervision, guidance, and instruction to medical residents and students rotating through the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. Function as an attending physician, examine patients, determine need for and order laboratory test, x-rays, and other procedures necessary to complete medical facts on the case and make diagnoses, while serving as a mentor to residents. Make presumptive diagnoses of more serious or uncommon conditions and seeks advice of appropriate consultants. Comply with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for residency faculty, including participating in organized clinical discussions, faculty development, and educational presentations. Perform administrative functions to include performing military physical examinations and medical evaluation boards.
