However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification. EM Academic Core Faculty Job Description The Highland Emergency Medicine Residency Program has trained emergency physicians for over 40 years. It has been ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited since 1984, and now trains 11-12 residents per class in PGY 1-4. Consult with EM QRC leadership to achieve better clinical outcomes for patients, improve the quality of patient care and maximize the efficient utilization of physician and hospital resources. Report to departmental leadership and hospital administration, as needed, material concerns about quality of care, delay in delivery of medical services to patients, or any patient concerns. Comply with the requirements and standards of AHS (Alameda Health System) Medical Staff bylaws, The Joint Commission (TJC) and any other accrediting agencies designated as well as all applicable AHS policies, code of conduct, rules, and regulations.
