Key Responsibilities: Emergency Patient Assessment, Diagnosis & Critical Care
Perform focused history-taking, physical examinations, and clinical assessments for diverse patient populations presenting to the emergency department.
Stabilize and treat patients with acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and behavioral emergencies, following established protocols and best practices.
Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and imaging results; promptly initiate lifesaving interventions when indicated.
Coordinate admission, transfer, or discharge planning in collaboration with inpatient teams, consultants, pre-hospital providers, and ancillary staff.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatments, and next steps.
Document encounters, procedures, and care transitions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate actively in department quality improvement, patient safety, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Foster a culture of inclusivity, professionalism, and teamwork within the emergency department setting.
Schedule and Shift Details ● 12-hour shifts Qualifications: Emergency Medicine Board Certification & Clinical Expertise
Doctorate degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
Meditech EDM - Emergency Care
Internal Medicine
Emergency Department (ED)
Valid Medical Doctor (MD) in the state of Texas (TX)
Valid Board Certified
