We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing locum tenens coverage across multiple emergency department locations in Indiana. Providers will be considered for coverage across all facilities based on system needs.
Position Overview
Part-time locum opportunity, 9-hour shifts
Current need is specifically for night coverage: 6p-3a or 10p-7a
Prefer candidates who can cover 5-7 day stretches at a time
Average 15-18 patients/physician/day
Patient Population: 80% adult, 20% pediatric
Extensive specialty support available, including stroke coverage, STEMI coverage, OB services, surgical specialties, and medical subspecialities
Transfers are generally limited to burn patients, complex pediatric cases and select hand surgery cases
EMR: Epic
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only)
Active Indiana license preferred, but candidates requiring licensure will be considered
DEA required
Indiana CSR required
Stroke Certification required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
Required Procedures
Candidates must be comfortable performing the following procedures and provide supporting case logs when requested:
Endotracheal Intubation (minimum 20 cases within the past 24 months)
Central Venous Catheter Placement
Lumbar Puncture
Thoracentesis
Paracentesis
Moderate Sedation
Nasal Hemostatic Packing (Anterior and Posterior)
Suprapubic Bladder Aspiration
Breast Cyst Aspiration
Interested physicians should submit a current CV, procedure logs, availability, and preferred shift structure for consideration.
