Responsibilities This intensivist provides care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Units and supervises housestaff. This intensivist evaluates patients who may require critical care when called by the Emergency Department or other inpatient units, including consultations for emergencies in other critical care units. This intensivist leads emergency responses and supervises medical housestaff in Medical Code, Rapid Response, and Sepsis Code Teams.
