Job Description Responsible for treating complex diseases for patients of Sentara Healthcare. The Physician leads an interdisciplinary team of primary caregivers and administrative support staff to perform assigned duties while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Sentara Medical Group and Sentara Healthcare, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 750 employees and 450 medical providers. We think of each other as family, with those bonds extending into our close-knit community and serving as the foundation for our patient care. As the only hospital providing care to the northeastern North Carolina community for more than 60 years, we celebrated moving into a newly constructed hospital campus in 2025. Our 90-bed facility features more than 25 specialties including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care in addition to our outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services.
