Program Highlights High-volume neonatal surgical program Biventricular repair program Pediatric and adult congenital mechanical circulatory support program Pediatric and adult congenital heart transplant program High-volume of complex adult congenital surgical cases Aortic valve repair program Cardiac ECMO program Work Environment Collegial, high-volume, and innovation-driven culture Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit coverage with 24/7 in-house pediatric cardiac intensivist coverage Exposure to some of the most complex and rewarding congenital cardiac surgical cases Clinical Responsibilities Daily operating with multiple colleague congenital cardiac surgeons Participation in weekly congenital cardiac surgical patient conferences and congenital cardiac surgery research meetings Daily pediatric cardiac intensive care unit rounds and bedside management Active participation in candidate evaluation and selection for pediatric and adult congenital transplantation Pediatric cardiac ECMO coverage Perioperative care of transplant and mechanical circulatory support patients Teaching as part of the CCF ACGME-accredited integrated thoracic surgery residency and congenital cardiac surgery fellowship training programs Eligibility Requirements Completion of one of the following Integrated Thoracic Surgery Residency 4+3 Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Traditional Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship (2 or 3 years) Or graduation from a Canadian-accredited Cardiac Surgery Residency Plus: some past clinical experience in pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery Must qualify for a full Ohio medical license
