This is an opportunity to practice high-quality, clinical cardiology within an integrated, hospital-employed program, backed by state-of-the-art diagnostics, a robust primary care referral base, and a depth of subspecialty resources rarely found outside major metropolitan centers. Practice Details Inpatient & Call: Consultative inpatient cardiology and call responsibilities at Maine Medical Center, our flagship academic tertiary-care hospital. Lewiston: Interpretation of cardiac imaging performed at St. Mary's Hospital, along with limited phone consultation services to referring providers and patients in the Lewiston community. Subspecialty access: Opportunity to engage with established programs, including but not limited to: Cardio-oncology, Women's heart health/Prevention, Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy center of excellence, Aorta center of excellence, Cardio-rheumatology Structure: Hospital-employed model with a strong, well-established referral network and integrated support across the MaineHealth system. What This Position Offers Practice and Network Membership in the nationally recognized Cardiovascular Service Line at Maine Medical Center, the hub for the extended MaineHealth network, partnering with regional hospitals to coordinate cardiovascular care. A team-based care model with a collaborative approach to patient care. Deep experience in value-based care through the Maine Heart Center, including participation in BPCI-A and the MaineHealth ACO. Academic and Professional Development A direct teaching role with medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. Academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine, with the opportunity to participate in the Tufts–Maine Track MD program. Research opportunities supported by internal and external funding, with access to the Maine Medical Center Research Institute (MMCRI). Qualifications MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
