The cardiologist will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiac diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques. This position will be a part of the VISN 15 Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network. This position may require travel to multiple duty stations within the Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network. The position may also be required to report to different locations within the Cardiology Hub and Spoke Network for team meetings and other clinical responsibilities. Will provide services such as outpatient examinations, consultation services related to cardiology, management of patients with current treatment regiment, and admission status as necessary. Participate in providing care in the tele-cardiology program at the facility Providing clinical consultation to Harry S Truman VAMC clinical staff. Patient caseload may be inpatient, outpatient, or both. May work with primary care physicians on a consulting basis when a patient has symptoms that suggest a cardiac issue. Interviews, examines, selects diagnostic testing appropriately, and interprets/collates results to coordinate patient care.
