As the region’s only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit, SNGH also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. The hospital offers a broad range of surgical services, including general, pediatric, gynecologic, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, urology, and ENT procedures. SNGH is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and an accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, with specialties in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, and women’s services, including a state-of-the-art NICU. Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists is a highly respected team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs providing care to more than 15,000 patients annually across Hampton Roads, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and clinical excellence.
