The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Obstetric Anesthesiology. This academic leadership role is responsible for advancing clinical excellence, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives within obstetric anesthesia services. The Director will provide strategic oversight of labor and delivery anesthesiology services, develop and implement clinical protocols and quality initiatives, and collaborate closely with Obstetrics & Gynecology, Neonatology, Nursing, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. The role includes administrative leadership such as staffing and resource management, as well as active participation in clinical care, including high-risk obstetric cases. The Director will also lead and support educational programs for residents, fellows, and medical students, mentor faculty and trainees, and contribute to curriculum development. In addition, the Director will promote and engage in scholarly activity, including clinical or translational research, and represent the division at institutional and national levels. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an anesthesiology residency program, and ideally a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Anesthesiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
