This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The staff anesthesiologist administers anesthesia care alone or supervises physicians in-training (residents) or certified registered nurse anesthetists. When working alone, he/she examines the patient before and after anesthesia, writes pre and post anesthesia orders, confirms that the patient is ready for anesthesia before induction, manages the anesthetic period and follows patients as appropriate in the post anesthesia period. Work Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
