⚖️Is Nephrology a Good Work-Life Balance Specialty?
"i would say this atypical of Nephrology. 250,000 of my salary comes from dialysis center directorshop. I did not include my share from JV with dialysis units, but that has significantly decreased because of cut reimbursements to dialysis. It took me 5 years to become partner and i think that's why people don't go into Nephrology. The old guys will not give you a share of dialysis JV or directorship easily. i made 300k for 5-6 years. graduated fellowship in 2016"— Nephrology Physician
"I do 13 weeks 24/7 with home call. Patient load 20-40 The rest I do 2.5 days clinic and then add dialysis on days I don’t do clinic. Generally I get Thursday off to do Administrative work "— Nephrology Physician
