The VA Sioux Falls Healthcare System is recruiting for (1) full-time Urologist. The Urologist is aligned with the Surgery/Specialty Care Service in inpatient and outpatient settings at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. Duties include: Perform basic urologic procedures, such as cystoscopy, ultrasound guided prostate biopsy, transurethral resections, bladder biopsy, ureteral stent insertion, retrogrades, and orchiectomy. Evaluate and treat patients with urologic disorders. Respond to patient telephone calls, informing patients of test/lab results, renew medication prescriptions, give telephone or e-mail advice to other providers, and administrative duties, if any. Enter accurate, complete, timely progress notes for each episode of care in the patient's electronic record. Proper use, maintenance, and calibration of specialized equipment used in the assessment and care of patients. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
