This large hospital is seeking a transplant surgeon for locum tenens coverage across inpatient and operating room settings. The facility supports a transplant surgery program with dedicated surgical and inpatient resources to manage complex transplant cases. About the Clinician's WorkdayThe transplant surgeon will provide inpatient and OR coverage on a Day Shift and 24-Hour restricted call schedule. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts operate as 24-hour restricted call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, while Wednesday and Thursday include hospital/inpatient hours from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by office hours from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities include kidney transplant surgery for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients, with a higher volume focus on adults and older patients, as well as living donor surgery and post-operative care, complication recovery, and outpatient follow-up. Board certification is required for this assignment.
