St. Cloud VA Health Care System is seeking a Physician - Hematology/Oncology to serve Veterans at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) locations - Brainerd, Alexandria and Montevideo. This position is full-time, based out of the Alexandria, MN location, with at least 75% travel between all the clinics. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. As an employee operating in a Whole Health System of care, you will operate in a model with three core elements, seeking to create a personalized health plan for each Veteran. Duties of the Provider: Provides consultation services and follow up of Primary Specialty Medicine (PSM) patients, in his or her designated field, in the outpatient setting at the St. Cloud Health Care System, or one of the affiliated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Participates in special projects pertinent to assigned sub-specialty as projects become available with strategic or other initiatives. Provides clinical oversight and review if assigned duty as a supervising or collaborating physician for a mid-level provider. Submits timely documentation in accordance with departmental policy. Enters progress notes on all patients as they are seen. Provides quality of care that always meets professional standards. Works within privileges at all times, unless necessitated by an emergency. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
