The intensivists lead the multi-disciplinary Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) team at the UofL Health – Heart Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. This 17-bed unit houses critically ill cardiac surgical patients, critically ill patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, heart and lung transplant recipients, and patients with unstable ascending aortic disease.
