The Department of Psychiatry at Tufts Medicine is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Addiction Psychiatrist to join our rapidly growing academic department based at Tufts Medical Center, the principal teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine in downtown Boston.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly collaborative, expanding Department of Psychiatry that is actively building a regional model of integrated behavioral health care across Tufts Medicine—spanning our flagship academic medical center and a network of community hospitals throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide Ambulatory Addiction treatment
- Contribute to the continued expansion of Tufts’ Ambulatory Addiction Psychiatry Services
- Deliver consultation and longitudinal care for patients with complex substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
- Collaborate closely with other specialties across outpatient settings including transplant services
- Participate in teaching, supervision, and curriculum development across training programs
- Opportunity to engage in research and scholarly activity, particularly in addiction psychiatry, health systems innovation, and integrated care models
Academic Appointment
Faculty appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, academic accomplishments, and career trajectory.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine strongly preferred
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $250,000.00 to $290,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
