Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA, due to retirement. We are a patient-focused organization with a dynamic team of 15 physicians and 4 APP providers who are dedicated to providing meaningful patient care. 

For more than a century, Sturdy Memorial has served the Attleboro community with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. What began in 1913 as a 15-bed facility has grown into a modern 142-bed hospital.  In 2025, Sturdy received the Leapfrog Top Hospital Award for patient safety and was named by Becker’s as a Great Community Hospital and a Top Place to Work in Healthcare. 

Our Emergency Department sees over 49,000 annual ED visits and is undergoing a $113 million ED expansion to be completed in 2027.  We offer full specialty backup and 24-hour hospitalist coverage. Our Emergency Department has up to quadruple provider coverage per day, plus an additional staffed fast track area. 
 
Position Highlights: 

• 32-hour workweek with minimal overnights due to nocturnist support  
• Collaborative team of passionate physicians and APPs, as well as highly trained nursing and support staff 
• Work within an independent health system with a new physician governance model 
• Base salary starting at $300,000+, dependent on experience, as well as RVU incentives, paid vacation and CME time

BC Emergency Medicine and at least two years of experience required.
