Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, Baystate Children’s Hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.
EMERGENCY MEDICINE HIGHLIGHTS:

- Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield MA is home to one of the busiest EDs in Massachusetts and the east coast. We serve over 122,000 adult and pediatric patients annually.
- Our community EDs in Palmer, Westfield and Greenfield MA each care for >33,000 patients annually with strong subspecialty support onsite and at nearby BMC.
- Academic positions include a faculty appointment at UMass-Chan Baystate and strong involvement with our 48 residents as well as fellows in pediatric emergency medicine, research, wilderness medicine, administration, medical education, EMS, health equity, wellness, and ultrasound.
- Strong support for clinical and health services research plus state-of-the-art simulation programs.
Qualifications: ABMS BE or BC Emergency Medicine, fellowship desired for academic positions.
Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $335,000-$460,000 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities.
