Physician (Psychiatry)

Naval Health Clinic Annapolis is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to join our team serving Active-Duty service members & U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Competitive compensation and potential recruitment incentives, student loan repayment & advanced leave accrual are available. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Serve as a Physician (Psychiatry) in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) providing examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health diseases. Provide ambulatory outpatient treatment and consultative services. Monitors treatment effectiveness through evidence-based medicine. Provide therapeutic treatment services. Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs. Provide professional consultation, supervision, and collaborative medical support to other staff. Prescribe pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment. Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations of patients. Train psychiatric residents, interns, medical students, and other medical and mental health trainees, as needed.
