Physician (Orthopedic Surgery)

North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System's Surgery Service is searching for a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to cover both the Gainesville and Lake City, FL locations. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program; possess good organizational skills, demonstrates leadership in a patient centered program, and effective communication with patients, families, visitors. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Perform patient evaluation in the weekly outpatient clinic and the inpatient - Emergency Department setting. You will be expected to serve as a mentor and teacher for Orthopedic Surgery residents in an accredited program Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
