About the Position: This position is with Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Serve as a board-certified physician (obstetrics and gynecology) performing inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment procedures. Provide prenatal and postnatal care and perform deliveries in maternity cases. Treat diseases and injuries of female reproductive system, including performing major open and laparoscopic surgical procedures. Provide accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all medical care provided. Serve as clinical preceptor for other professional providers which may include other Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, operative deliveries, laceration repair, management of postpartum hemorrhage and other obstetric complications.
