ABOUT GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER (GCMC): GCMC has been a part of the Geisinger family since 2012. GCMC provides high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents throughout Lackawanna County and northeastern Pennsylvania. Located in Scranton, GCMC has the only Level II trauma center and electronic intensive care unit in Lackawanna County, providing care for the most seriously ill and injured patients. Beyond critical care, GCMC features the most advanced specialists coordinating care in areas including general surgery, cardiology, interventional radiology, gastroenterology, weight management, oncology, pulmonary care and orthopaedics.
