SUMMARY
The Department of Neuro-Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Neurophysiologist to join our team in a full-time clinical faculty position, with a focus on clinical neurophysiology, patient care, and clinical research.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development by joining a highly collaborative team of neurologists, neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, physician-scientists, and clinical, basic science, and translational investigators. The successful candidate will provide specialized expertise in clinical neurophysiology, including electroencephalography (EEG) and intraoperative monitoring (IOM), while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to care for patients with neurological complications of cancer and cancer therapy. RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing clinical expertise in EEG and intraoperative monitoring for supratentorial, infratentorial, skull base, spinal cord tumor, vascular surgery, and interventional neuroradiology cases. Experience with awake surgical case monitoring is preferred. Additional responsibilities include the rapid diagnosis and management of non-convulsive status epilepticus, participation in clinical research focused on neurophysiology and neurological complications of cancer, teaching and mentoring fellows and trainees, and participating in a shared faculty call schedule.
