Physician (Internal Medicine)

About the Position: This position is located at The Walter Reed Internal Medicine department in Bethesda Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, differentiating among the various contributory causes, and prescribes appropriate treatment. Document patient care appropriately. Follow through on cases to ensure effectiveness and alters course of treatment, as indicated. Collaborate with specialists in other areas on cases involving interrelated problems. Support readiness for all active duty and civilian missions by providing primary care to active duty and their family members. Assist soldiers and commanders by performing fitness for duty evaluations, physicals, profiles, and command referrals, as assigned. Contribute to the teaching of medical learners (medical students, residents, and fellows) through presenting and lecturing in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. Guide, instruct and train medical interns in internal medicine, as well as interns in other specialties, in aspects of internal medicine which relate to their area.
