An endocrinology subspecialist provides comprehensive care for adults with hormonal and metabolic disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings. They serve as consultants to other physicians and are skilled in history taking, exams, test interpretation, thyroid FNA, bone biopsy, counseling, diagnosis, and medical management across endocrine conditions. As assigned by the Section Chief, clinical duties for this position will include: Continuity outpatient clinics. Precepting residents and fellows in clinic. Inpatient endocrinology consult service attending. Creation and management of templates and order sets to facilitate non-face to face care (Consults, e-consultation). Completion of endocrinology E-consults. Telemedicine Indirect patient care: returning telephone calls, responding to patient emails, reviewing and renewing prescriptions, reviewing laboratory and imaging data, communicating results to patients, and implementing improved quality in systems delivery.
