Physician - Anesthesiology (Section Chief)

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Overall supervision the Anesthesia Department with direct supervision of the Anesthesiologist and Chief CRNA. Serves a consultant to the Medical and Surgical Services, not only in pre-surgical evaluation of patients, but in areas of expert airway adjunct, difficult I.V. access and pain control. Available on a 24 hour basis to provide I.V. sedation consultation and/or administration for sedation through the medical center and insure the quality of care of that service. Demonstrate the ability to appropriately and courteously relate to internal and external customers, maintain the confidentiality of patient/employee information, and to function and work in a safe manner, as well as demonstrating an on-going commitment to and understanding of the Medical Center's Performance Improvement program. Other duties as assigned including but not limited to providing call coverage, quality and compliance, and administrative responsibilities.
